California’s Hard Rock Casino Tejon set to open November 13
Summary
Hard Rock International and the Tejon Indian Tribe have confirmed that Hard Rock Casino Tejon will open on 13 November 2025. The privately funded development sits on tribal land less than 15 miles south of Bakersfield at the southern tip of the San Joaquin Valley, near the Grapevine Pass, and is the first full casino project in Kern County.
The tribe will own the property while Hard Rock International will manage operations. The resort will feature a 150,000 sq ft gaming floor with more than 2,000 slot machines, 50 live table games, VIP rooms for blackjack and baccarat, Hard Rock music memorabilia displays, multiple dining options and a Rock Shop. The project has already generated thousands of construction jobs and is expected to provide about 1,000 permanent roles on opening.
Partners say the development includes infrastructure improvements at no cost to taxpayers and long-term investments in education, community services and tribal economic development.
